Château Giscours 2017 is a precise wine, full of finesse that reflects the savoir-faire of the team.
The frost episode of 2017 will remain in the memories of each winemaker. However, the frost only hit the lower altitude terroirs, while all the great terroirs have been untouched. Those ones benefited from a great growing season: a perfect blooming followed by a sunny summer with moderate water restrictions that gave a nice concentration to the grapes.
The 2017 vintage is a beautiful wine, the perfect illustration of the meticulous work of the technical team all along this challenging year.

Aromas of smoke, leather and hints of asphalt and dark berries, following through to a full body, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows well balanced tannin tension. Tasted before bottling. Drink after 2021.
Well-marked by toasty oak, this red's black cherry and plum flavors are buried today, but should shine through in time. Broad-shouldered and dense, with dusty tannins.
Opens in the glass with an attractive bouquet of berry fruit, plums, orange rind and coniferous forest floor, framed by a deft application of new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and enveloping, its succulent core of fruit framed by melting tannins. This is simply immensely pleasurable to drink.
