Palate Profile

Chateau Tanunda 50 Year Old Vines Barossa Valley Shiraz 2017 is medium to deep crimson/purple. Powerfully intense aniseed, blackberry, mulberry and blueberry fruit aromas, with ginger, mint notes.

Vigorous and fleshy with generous blueberry, blackberry flavours, excellent mid-palate richness and plentiful brambly-chocolatey tannins.

Critic Awards

Fabulous fruit richness and seductive complexity, the wine shows dark fruit intensity on the nose combined with dark chocolate, olive, warm spice and cedary oak nuances. It's powerfully graceful on the palate, displaying multi-layered mouthfeel and silky tannins, leading to a gorgeously long lavish

From Light Pass, Bethany and Marananga. Minimalistic winemaking - open ferment, basket press, 24 months in French oak, unfiltered. Full-bodied...Dark chocolate, blackberry.

A good wine with strong

A good wine with strong fruit favor (black currant and plum). Enjoyable now. Sufficient tannin and acidity for cellaring at least a few years.
