The Pinot Noir grapes used for crafting Cloudy Bay Te Wahi were handpicked and destemmed. The fruit was then cold soaked and fermented in stainless steel. The juice obtained so was hand plunged, lightly pressed and transferred to French oak for maturation. This deep ruby-hued Pinot Noir offers beautiful scents and sweet flavours of plum, cherry and spicy oak nuances of clove and cinnamon coupled with earthy mineral smokiness and lifted floral notes. Supple tannins and bright acidity drive the textured palate to a vibrant and captivating finale. This excellent Pinot Noir can be cellared for 10 to 15 years from vintage. Pair it with tagliolini al tartufo and Minnesota braised venison to fully appreciate its rich flavours.
