"On the dry side, offering graphite and mineral aromas, grapefruit, honey and freshly baked bread flavours. Though light in weight, this shows fine intensity and a toasty, honey-accented finish."

Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut
RRP HK$400
'Fresh, lively, fruity and precise, Piper is a reliable champagne at a great price, and I recommend it all the time for weddings, parties, anything. The house has fulfilled its mandate to grow this cuvee into a more serious, textural and complex offering, thanks to longer lees age than ever, though balances this marvellously and unexpectedly with more bright fruit integrity and tension than before. Pinot noir takes the lead, laced with fresh, fruity red apple and strawberry hull, with the lemon zest of chardonnay contributing tension and a touch of struck flint adding complexity. Lees age brings plenty of toasty, roast nut, gingernut biscuits, spice and honey character. Refreshingly, bright acid tension is the theme of the finish rather than dosage. Bravo. Rating: 91/100."

Mumm Grand Cordon Champagne Brut NV
RRP HK$390
This distinctivey fresh, full-bodied Champagne's consistently impeccable taste symbolizes the richness and finesse that have long been MUMM hallmarks. There is ultimately no more eloquent proof of Georges Hermann de Mumm’s maxim that “Only the best” will do.
"Chalky on the nose, this clean-cut Champagne is creamy in texture and elegant, offering a subtle mesh of biscuit, green pear, ground ginger and lemon zest notes. A fine aperitif, with a racy finish. Drink now through 2020." Wine Spectator
