Respecting the tradition of great family Domaines of Bourgogne, Genot Boulanger is run by Guillaume and Aude Lavollee, the fourth generation winegrowers, and is undoubtedly one of the rising stars in Bourgogne. Fruit is farmed organically and biodynamically, as the duo believes that these practices best showcase Burgundy’s many unique terroirs.
The wine is aged for 12 months in barrel, 20-30% of which is new, followed by an additional six months in steel. Rich, round, and balanced, this wine is a prime example of just how good Chardonnay from Savigny-les-Beaune can be.
“This great domaine has rejoined the ranks of the elite of Bourgogne... the wines are rich in color, have body, beautiful fruit and are made for aging.” Michel Bettane, La Revue du Vin de France
