Grapes for this wine were sourced from 6th generation grower Adrian Hoffman’s 70+ year old vines grown on his Dimchurch Vineyard. The wine is matured in 50% new French oak for 20 months prior to bottling.
"The vineyard’s is that of 6th generation grower Adrian Hoffman and its 70+yo vines; matured in French oak (50% new) for 20 months. This is a very elegant medium-bodied wine that has soaked up the new oak without hesitation, leaving the fresh fruit flavours free to depart from the normal Barossa Valley black spectrum and explore red berry flavours. The tannins are fine, the wine showing no sign of bottling one month before tasting." James Halliday, Hallidays Wine Companion, 97/100
