Palate Profile

Kemeny's Hidden Label range is a unique concept where we sell the exact same commercial wine under our Hidden Label range.  The only difference is we sell these for around half the price they normally sell for under their own label.  Also, for some added fun, we have hidden the name of the winemaker on the front label to give you a clue of what the actual wine really is!

HINT: (you can always google the wine review as well)

After over a century of producing stellar wines exclusively from their 'home' region in the Hunter, {secret famous wine family} made their first wine from Heathcote shiraz in 1997, having long admired the wines from this famous Victorian region. The late legendary wine critic John Fordham says this "decision to source shiraz from Victoria's Heathcote region two decades ago has been vindicated many times over". The deep rich colour of this wine indicates its intensity. The nose is full of ripe plum and dark cherries with a hint of white pepper and sweet vanilla. The flavours carry onto the palate which is full of big soft fruit, but perfectly weighted by an elegant oak structure and natural acid, resulting in a rich wine with a complex and fresh structure.

"The touch has lightened here, as has the positioning of the wine. A fine vintage extrapolated as pulpy and floral blue-fruit allusions, iodine and cherry cola. Full weighted, yet vibrant, fresh and very easy to drink. The tannins are lithe, gentle and Ned Goodwin MW, Hallidays Wine Companion 91/100

"Very deep, bright, almost neon purple colour that stains the glass, and a fresh and youthful plummy aroma that has a little rawness to it, as if it hasn't all seen the inside of a barrel. There are subtle smoky, toasty, and vanilla overtones and the wine has silky-soft tannins which bode well for early drinkability. A brilliant drop of shiraz at the price." (Jun 2022)
