Winemaker Larry Cherubino has followed up the superb 2018 Pedestal Cabernet Sauvignon with an equally good rendition from 2019.
Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Expressive red to black currant and mulberry aromatics are complimented by cedary tobacco characters, black olive and a whiff of bay leaf. Medium bodied, the palate is layered with rich red to blackcurrant and mulberry fruits which overlay subtle cigar box, black olive and infusions of bay leaf. Possesses both depth and refinement with a polished matrix of tannins providing the framework. Long classy finish.
