Latitude 41 Small Batch Pinot Noir 2016
Wine-lovers are excited about New Zealand’s Pinot Noir and this is a good one, with a haunting nose of earth, pepper and a little funk and a silky, fruity taste. Best red of the tasting and very easy to enjoy. Wall Street Journal
Brilliant dark red cherry in colour with cherries, strawberry & hints of sweet vanilla oak on the nose. The palate has good structure and length with mouth filling richness of berry fruits and sweet, smoky French oak.
This wine is made from a selection of Nelson grapes from the Upper Moutere. The result is a full bodied wine that has layers of fruit flavours that are associated with the different soil types and climatic conditions of each individual block.
The wines are typically concentrated, rich and smooth textured with a variety of complex flavours that impress.
