WHO IS THE ENCHANTED PATH? Enchanted Path celebrates Sarah and Sparky’s journey in life and partnership in winemaking.

The 2006 Shiraz (66%) -- Cabernet Sauvignon (34%) "Enchanted Path" was made entirely from McLaren Vale fruit. Opaque purple-colored, the wine has a fragrant bouquet of pain grille, leather, smoked meat, game, blueberry, and blackberry. This is followed by a structured wine with intense, spicy black fruit flavors, full-body, and superb balance. It is still tightly wound and will benefit from 6-8 years of cellaring. This promising effort should drink well through 2030. (JM) (10/2007)
Dark opaque purple with ruby hue, this is a very powerful blend combining Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon creating a wine with immense fruit weight and uninhibited length. Varietal Cabernet notes dance among the vibrant fruit profile of the Shiraz presenting blackberry fruit, cassis, lifted anise spice with underlying plum jam and tar. The palate offers a rich explosion of fruit, toasty oak, cedar notes, and layers of spice, with fine grain tannins and endless length. Interestingly, when you join the Enchanted Path and the Carnival of Love together, the two labels form one beautiful continuous love story.
"Supple in texture and deftly balanced despite its size, this is a big wine that dances smoothly on the palate, while showing off its rich cherry, blueberry and sweet spice flavors. The parts melt together seamlessly as the finish rolls on and on. Drink now through 2016. 3,279 cases made." - 93 points, Wine Spectator
