Palate Profile

Nuala Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Gooseberry and grapefruit with aromas of melon, great flavor's balance and acid structure.

Critic Awards

A complex nose of earthy leaves and soft spice with subtle hints of citrus and a herbal undertow. On the palate, there's bell pepper and ripe rhubarb, showing quality fruit and a long length.

A classic expression of SB with aromas of tropical fruits, lemon and apple, pink grapefruit and some golden kiwifruit suggestions. Very crisp and taut on the palate with chalky textured acidity then flavours that mirror the bouquet. Dry on the finish, a wine ready for drinking from 2023 through 2025.

Bright, even, pale yellow. This has a soft bouquet filled with tropical fruit, citrus and a hint of fresh herbs. Medium-light bodied, guava and white currant aromas melded with grapefruit peels and fresh herbs. The palate is light with a subtle chalky texture; taut acidity drives to a focused, refreshing finish. This Sauvignon Blanc is refreshing with a tropical citrus core and vibrant acidity.

Drinkable Sauvignon Blanc

This is a very drinkable Sauvignon Blanc. In my view, it doesn't quite match a Villa Maria or the top class wines from this grape, but it was excellent value at $99 per bottle and would have no problem ordering another case.
