Xavier Vignon Cotes-Du-Rhône 2018
"I continue to love the wines from vigneron Xavier Vignon. His wines always deliver on the fruit and texture front, yet never lack for typicity or Provençal charm.”
- Wine Advocate -
A blend of 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre. The Grenache vines are over 80 years old and the Mourvèdre vines are over 60 years old. Sourced from 76 parcels, mostly from the northern part of the Vaucluse, from various Terroirs, including galets roulés, sand, clay and limestone. The grapes were selected specifically for their high mineral salt content. The grape varieties are co-fermented and aged in concrete tanks. No oak aging.
"A bright nose with violets and blueberries, leading to a palate with very fresh and juicy dark-cherry and cassis flavors and fine, succulent and even-paced tannins."
