These vineyards, located just kilometers from the cooling breezes of the Gulf St Vincent, are the same esteemed sites that produce Mitolo's single vineyard Shiraz wines: Savitar, G.A.M., and Angela. The Marsican is a tribute to Frank Mitolo’s father, Bruno, and is named after the rare Marsican bear native to the Abruzzo region of Italy, symbolizing strength and gentleness.

The 2019 vintage showcases a deep crimson hue, offering intense aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and dark chocolate, complemented by notes of vanilla and marzipan. On the palate, it delivers concentrated flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and marzipan, with fine chocolaty textures, superb mid-palate volume, and attractive minerally fresh acidity. The finish is firm with bittersweet liquorice notes, demonstrating excellent density and balance.
