This is the first time I have tasted a pink gin. I tried it as a novelty not expecting much. Once you open the bottle, the sweet aroma of strawberry oozes out.

The first taste is sweet and taken neat can be regarded as a dessert wine. After the initial sweetness, the slightly bitter taste of the London gin takes over.

I then tried it with tonic and soda. Soda makes it more bitter but 1-1 tonic with one or two pieces of ice is a good complement.

I also tried it as a gimlet but minimise the lime to make it a sweeter drink. The pink drink with pieces of ice and a wedge of lime makes an interesting picture.
