Palate Profile
The wine side of Haras de Pirque is now owned by Italy's Antinori family and their chief winemaker Renzo Cotarella brings his own elegant sensibility to bear while respecting the character of this very particular terroir.
Ecràl is crafted from certified organic vineyards in Pirque and reflects the strong territorial identity of the Upper Maipo Valley showcasing the typicity of Carménère. The first vintage of Ecràl is 2020.
Ecràl is an intense cherry red color. Notes of black berries, spices and floral sensations define its aromatic profile. Generous and persistent on the palate, this wine has an excellent freshness and soft elegant tannins

A deeper and more vertical carmenere here that shows lots of black olives, some dark chocolate and walnut to the black cherries and blackcurrants. The full-bodied palate has generous fruit and a wealth of robust tannins to offer -- chewy but fine-grained and not drying. It needs time to soften. From organically grown grapes. Better from 2025.
