Profile
Created on the foundations of a cellar built in the 17th Century located in Meursault.
A distinguished Pinot Noir from Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, specifically from the Premier Cru vineyards of Pommard. Sourced from old vines on the northern slopes of the appellation, the wine benefits from clay-limestone soils rich in iron oxides, contributing to its complexity and depth. Aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, this wine exhibits a bright garnet color and offers an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, redcurrant, and morello cherry, accompanied by subtle hints of violets and spices. On the palate, it is clean with a pleasant acidulous roundness, elegant structure, silky tannins, and a long, spicy finish.
With an alcohol content of 13%, this Pinot Noir is both approachable in its youth and possesses the structure for graceful aging over the next 5–7 years. Its versatility makes it an excellent companion to a variety of dishes, including duck, mushroom risotto, or grilled salmon.
