Palate Profile
Pommard is often considered the most "masculine" Côte de Beaune red. This is a firm, full-bodied wine that is nevertheless exceptionally round and generous, with a fruity depth of character and earthy aromas and flavors.
Pairs well with small game, complex beef dishes, pungent cheeses.

This is actually quite aromatically similar to the straight Pommard but with a bit better layering. There is however notably better size, weight and volume to the medium weight plus flavors that possess a caressing and highly seductive, indeed almost velvety, texture that is primarily due to the abundance of dry extract that helps to buffer the very firm, dusty and decidedly austere finale.
A sturdy red, evoking cherry, raspberry, clay and iron flavors. Reveals tannins that have a burly feel, despite being balanced with the other elements. Lingers nicely, echoing fruit, earth and spices on the finish.
