Profile
The Mitolo Jester McLaren Vale Rosé 2024 is a vibrant and expressive wine that captures the essence of its coastal origin. Crafted from Sangiovese grapes sourced from the Lopresti Lot 10 Vineyard in Whites Valley, this rosé benefits from the unique terroir of heavy black Biscay clay soils and the moderating influence of sea breezes, which contribute to its distinctive character.
In the glass, it presents a pale pink hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of tart cherry, strawberry, rose, and cranberry. The palate is enlivened by a zesty acidity and fine textures reminiscent of slate and chalk, leading to a crisp and refreshing finish.

93 Points – Marcus Ellis, Wine Companion
"Pretty pale pink. Check. Fruitful but delicate. Check. Dry and refreshing. Check. It does all the things and for a very fair price from premium fruit in a premium region. This was tasted early, and it will flex a little, and to its benefit, but the sapid dryness is very engaging, set against pristine notes of tart cherry, strawberry, rose and cranberry. There’s an appealing savouriness to this against the exuberance of the ’23. It’s very good and exceptional value." -
92 Points – Jeni Port, Winepilot
"The colour of summer in pretty pink blush hues. A seriously enjoyable young rosé with Sangiovese as the basis for exploring a cherry, raspberry, dusty earthiness with just the merest whisper of musk confection – just a hint which lifts aromatically. Offers a fairly understated palate which is probably a little more European in tone and demeanour than trad fruity Australian, very stylish, very food-friendly as well as the perfect aperitif. A delightful bright and zesty youngster."
With an alcohol content of 13%, this rosé is an excellent companion to seafood dishes, light salads, and Mediterranean cuisine, making it a versatile choice for various occasions.
