Profile

Billecart Salmon is one of the world's finest non-vintage champagnes and has hit a purple patch of form - so much so that champagne 'guru' Tyson Stelzer recently rated the producer 10/10 in his influential Champagne Guide.

Balance and harmony combine together in this light and subtle champagne. Its blend is made up of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier sourced from the very best sites of the Champagne region. It is the ideal partner to delight your guests on every occasion, both as an aperitif and throughout the entirety of a meal.

Critic awards

I drink this regularly and always enjoy it. Wonderful aromas of light dough, fresh flowers, and sliced pears and peaches. Full-bodied yet agile and fresh, it shows layers of marvellous light tropical fruit and cream with hints of dough on the finish.

— 93 points, James Suckling

A vibrant, well-knit version, lacy in texture and offering an appealing mix of juicy, fresh-cut apple, pear tart, pickled ginger, honey and lemon flavors.

— 91 points, Wine Spectator

Light yellow colour with a golden hue. Very fresh aroma with citrus notes, especially lime leaves, as well as nuances of green apple and subtle hints of salted almonds. Fresh on the palate with a fine mousse, nuances of pineapple and rather restrained acidity. Finish is medium long.

— 91 points, Falstaff

This producer's nonvintage cuvée showcases a blend of grapes from all the regions of Champagne. Rich with white stone fruit, it balances ripe acidity and a taut texture.

— 90 points, Wine Enthusiast

Pouring a rich straw hue, it opens to generous and lightly toasty aromas of ripe red berries, caramel, and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, it’s ripe, rounded, expressive, and approachable, although it feels the touch of dosage in its texture as well as the suggestion of sweetness. Its fruit is ripe and long on the palate, with a hint of walnut skin on the long finish. It is certainly the classic, old school style, and compared to the other wines, has a bit broader shoulders. Its toasty touch likely comes from the malolactic fermentation that was permitted as opposed to oak.

— 90 points, Jeb Dunnuck
