Profile

Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite is a French wine estate that has been producing exceptional wines, including the Chateau Duhart-Milon Moulin de Duhart Pauillac, since the early 1800s. This estate is known for its commitment to quality and its use of traditional winemaking techniques, resulting in wines of exceptional complexity, richness, and depth.

The Chateau Duhart-Milon Moulin de Duhart Pauillac is a blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes and is aged in oak barrels for up to 18 months. The resulting wine is characterized by its dark fruit aromas, rich tannins, and elegant finish, making it a favorite among wine lovers worldwide.

The wine is a deep red with notes of fresh fruit, especially Morello cherries. The attack is supple and rounded. A pleasantly energetic wine. Evolves well on the palate. The structure suggests that it will soon open up. Good length, with soft tannins.

Critic awards

Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, wider edge brightening. Ripe plum fruit, black cherries, a hint of nougat, fine herbal spices. Juicy, sweet plum fruit, round tannins, subtle freshness, chocolaty and already approachable, a versatile food companion.

— 92 points, Falstaff

Seductive heady fruit, nuanced and slightly perfumed. Lovely pink colour. Juicy impact with soft, chalky tannins that coat the top and sides of the mouth. Good persistency. Lots of work went into the Merlots in this vintage from both clay and gravel - not pushing them too far in order to retain refinement. A juicy, sappy and approachable second wine.

— 92 points, Decanter Magazine
