    Profile

    The De Bortoli Yarra Valley vineyards were first planted in 1971 and through careful expansion and thoughtful replanting, we have introduced new planting stock that have improved transparency, density and purity.

    The wine is medium white in colour with a green edges. Delicate and fine, white flowers, hints of citrus and seaspray. Fine, minerally, savoury, drying phenolics, texture and charm.

    Critic awards

    Green-apple freshness on the nose, fresh crisp fruit, lightly handled oak if any. The wine is reserved and quite fine but very soft, rounded and cuddly, with a fluffy phenolic texture and subtle buttered toast traces. There is fullness on the middle palate and moderate length, a pretty smart chardonnay.
