Profile

Jean Moreau & Fils Chablis 2023 is an elegant pale gold colour. The nose is intense and fruity, showing notes of mandarin and pineapple on a soft background of fresh almonds. Fresh and generous, the mouth is very typical of Chablis, offering a very pleasant minerality and a long-lasting, saline finish.

Located in the north of Burgundy, in Yonne department, the appellation stretches over around 20 communes that cover the hillsides running alongsidethe pretty Serein Valley. The vineyard enjoys an exceptional geological situation.

Jean Moreau & Fils Chablis 2023 will perfectly emphasize any type of sea food such as a fatty fish (salmon or bluefin tuna), sushi and sashimi. Will also be a great companion to
poultry, asian or exotic food.

Try it also with goat cheeses, as well as fresh and light refined cheese.

Drink now to 2029.

Critic awards

"The 2023 Glorie De Chablis from J. Moreau & Fils is a vibrant and refreshing Chardonnay, sourced from vines rooted in the distinctive Kimmeridgian soils, rich in Jurassic-era fossilized oyster shells. This adds a characteristic minerality that gives the wine its signature briny edge. Fresh aromas of green apple, pear, and subtle citrus lead to a palate with lively lemon-lime zest, hints of pineapple, and a fine herbal note. The wine’s balance is further enhanced by eight months of lees aging in stainless-steel tanks, lending it a creamy texture and added complexity. This wine is perfectly suited to seafood dishes, such as lemon butter lobster, sautéed sea scallops, or oyster poor boy sandwiches. Drink through 2028."
