“Surely a contender for ‘value buy of the year” 94/100 Ken Gargett

Wine critic, Ken Gargett (Winepilot.com) recently reviewed this renowned winery's Clare Valley Shiraz.

Upon tasting this wine, Ken proclaimed that it is “surely a contender for value buy of the year”, going on to describe it as “a brooding, deep red with aromas of plums, chocolate, cigar boxes, dry herbs and raspberries - the black fruits kick in much more on the palate”. It is clear Ken was very impressed saying that it “is utterly delicious” and “terrific stuff”.

This Clare Valley Shiraz 2021 is full of brambles and blue/black fruits with a spicy lift. Layers of brooding dark fruits, spice and savoury characters are framed in fine oak. The sinewy tannin profile pulls the wine through to a long and moreish finish.
