Palate Profile

Krug Rosé is both unexpected and daring. It shows a broad and extensive aromatic palette, unusual for a Rosé Champagne.

As you taste Krug Rosé, you will discover harmonies of puff pastry and red-berry tart, which develop towards honey and citrus fruits. Its floral accents and notes of dried or stewed fruit will enthrall your palate. Its extreme delicacy is enhanced by the subtlety of its fine and elegant bubbles.

Critic Awards

A creamy plushness accents this tightly meshed rosé Champagne, with rich hints of toasted nut and caffè crema underscoring the baked currant and apricot fruit flavors. Well-honed acidity focuses this through to the mouthwatering, chalk- and spice-laced finish. Disgorged spring 2017.

Gravitas translates on the palate to cherry fruit and spice, herbs and hints of quince and rosemary; unashamedly complex for sure, gastronomically promising without a doubt. For all the power and glory, the wine is fresh, energetic and forward, its unrivalled pedigree immediately obvious for all to behold.

Reserves wine, dating back to 2000, create a complex and fascinating rosé, deepened by 13 percent red wine from pinot noir. Its luscious red- berry flavors carry a range of exotic spices, from cumin to curry and black tea. There’s also an oyster-shell minerality, lifting all the succulent fruit so that the wine feels graceful.

"Based on the 2014 vintage, complemented by some 33% reserve wines from six other vintages, Krug's new NV Brut Rosé 26ème Édition is showing beautifully, offering up aromas of tart red berries and plums mingled with notions of warm biscuits, dried fruits, flowers and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied, taut and incisive, with terrific concentration, racy acids and a long, penetrating finish..."
