Onikishi is the demon Knight bound to their whisky, its demon strength and spirit in perpetual battle yet balanced by its smooth finish and noble flavour. A brilliant duality worthy of Japan, its creators and spirits.
Produced in Hyogo prefecture, home of mount Kasagata where the Noma river flows, a distinct region known as the navel of Japan whose clear spring waters populate the area. The historical birthplace of Japan as in the stories of the Koijiki and Nihongi.
Tasting Notes
Vanilla and a touch of honey with a very subtle citrus undertone, counterbalanced by a clear malt nose and touch of blossom.
A light yet well balanced taste, the malt takes more precedence on the palate with the cedar and vanilla flavours from the white oak barrels delivering a rounded sweetness and soft finish.
