Palate Profile
Trimbach is a winery located in the medieval city of Ribeauvillé. It was founded in 1626 by the Trimbach family, who have been at the helm for 13 generations. It has about 15,000 hectares of vineyards, some 1,600 of which are classified as Grand Cru. It produces elegant and structured wines with great aging potential.
The Trimbach Gewürztraminer soils are marl, limestone and sandstone. The area has a semi-continental climate characterised by cold and dry winters and hot summers. There is not too much rain because it is protected to the west by the Vosges mountains.
The Trimbach Gewürztraminer harvest is carried out manually and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the fresh and fruity aromas of the grape.
Trimbach Gewürztraminer is a fantastic example of Gewürztraminer from Alsace. A dry, fruity and spiced white supported by a fresh acidity.

Critic Awards
Both flinty reduction and rose notes play on the nose. The palate comes in with concentration and a pithy, phenolic texture that lends structure and backbone to this rich, rounded, almost oily but dry wine. Pleasant citrus-pith bitterness sits well with the bold, warm but dry generosity. It's best to let this come into its own.
