Palate Profile
blend made from 3 grape varieties, spread over a selection of 20 parcels in the Rasteau appellation.
Almost black color with a deep orange hue, on the nose, the wine develop dark fruits aromas (black cherry), licorice, chocolate and mineral notes. The mouthfeel reveals an outstanding concentration with already silky tannins and a long finish.
Pairs with duck with orange - Tajine of lamb with apricots - Poached and salted duck - strong cheeses.

The 2019 Rasteau is a blend dominated by Grenache, but with smaller amounts of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Laced with scents of garrigue and green peppercorns, it offers mixed berries on the medium to full-bodied palate, and a bit more assertive tannin than seen in Vignon's other wines. That said, it's by no means unapproachable, and while it may be kept another year or so, it should be.
