Gongbi (工筆) Painting
Meaning "meticulous", uses highly detailed brushstrokes that delimit details very precisely. Known as traditional Chinese realist painting, historically peaked out between the Tang and Song dynasties when these refined paintings were endorsed and collected by the royal families of China. Nowadays, as a precious heritage of Chinese classical art, Gongbi painting continuously showcases the extreme elegance of Chinese culture with more innovated ideas through the delicate brush work of the artist.
Billecart Salmon Brut Rose
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé defines the entire rosé Champagne category. Composed of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier, it gets its colour and rosé flavour from 8% red wine. This red wine is almost exclusively sourced from Billecart’s own village of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, from massal-selected Pinot Noir plots of 60–80 years old. These plots are picked at still red wine ripeness—12% potential alcohol—and then de-stemmed and cold macerated before fermentation. It is this red wine that makes the Billecart Rosé so special, and unfortunately also limits the supply. The finished product is the most elegant, restrained, dry and delicate wine that one could drink.
Cinnamon and dried nutmeg add to the experience of bread dough and rose petals. Flavorful on the medium-bodied palate and finely poised with bright acidity. Medium-long on the finish.
The palest of rosés, this is an elegant, structured wine. Its dryness is balanced by the fine apple and red-currant fruits and the strong sense of minerality. Fragrant and lightly structured, this fine bottling is ready to drink.
A lively rosé Champagne with a pleasing, citrusy juiciness to the flavors of steeped raspberry, white peach and blanched almond. A subtle thread of chalky minerality winds through the finish.
Based on the 2015 vintage, with 40% of reserve wines and 8% still red wine. The blend is 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. With an intense bouquet of raspberry, flowers and lemon, this cuvée possesses a straight, pure and clean palate with vinosity and tension.
Mingling notes of red berries and plums with notions of peach, dried flowers and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and elegant, it's bright and charming, with a generous core of fruit, racy acids and a pinpoint mousse. Giving and demonstrative, it's already drinking well.
