Duluc de Branaire-Ducru is the second wine of Saint-Julien’s Château Branaire-Ducru. On taking over this estate, Patrick Maroteaux created Duluc in honour of the family that owned it in 1855 and who built the current château.

This hearty red offers a great value glimpse into an estate on the rise, due to the Maroteaux family’s heavy investment and hard work. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc; it presents rich cassis, leather, plum, hedgerow fruit, mocha, toasted granary bread, pepper and elegant spices.

Critic Awards


Dark ruby ​​garnet, violet reflections, subtle lightening of the edges, dark forest berry confit with a delicate balsamic underlay, a hint of dark heart cherries, delicately of cassis and heart cherries. Juicy, red berry nuances, good acid structure, integrated tannins, mineral, slims down on the finish, a lively companion at the table.

Attractive aromas and flavors of currants and walnuts with some chocolate. Medium body, medium round tannins and a savory finish.
