Profile

Selected from the finest 32 rows of Cabernet Sauvignon on our estate vineyard in the cool climate of the Eden Valley.

The bouquet has lifted aromas of blackcurrant, redcurrant and spice on the velvety smooth palate with hints of cedar and mint. The extensive finish is framed by elegant, fine-grained tannins from 18 months’ maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.

SUITABLE FOR VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS

Critic awards

Stylish and complex, the bouquet shows blackcurrant, smoky bacon, olive and roasted nut aromas, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate that's succulent and finely textured. Tannins are fine and chalky, framing the wine beautifully with a persistent sturdy finish.

Deep ruby red colour. Black fruits, black olive tapenade and nori aromas. Rich and dense dark fruits on entry then savoury ironstone and nori characters fill in adding character. Tannins are firm but work well to lengthen and dry the finish.

The colour here is a blood red/garnet. Classic Grenache and utterly delicious. A fine example to show anyone keen to see what a good Grenache is like. Strawberries, cherries, warm earth, florals and red fruits. A little chocolate. A juicy palate with silky tannins. This is bright and energetic with very good length. A good future here, at least ten to twelve years of pleasure.

Raspberries, sliced chilies, smoked paprika and blackcurrant leaves on the nose. Fruity and full-bodied, with relatively supple tannins and good freshness.

— 90 points, James Suckling
