This Sauvignon Blanc delivers a wine that is textural, precise and positively brimming with tropical fruits. The nose is varietal with gooseberry and passionfruit and a slightly more pronounced cut grass and herbaceous influence than previous years. The palate has generous tropical fruits that work against a baseline of tuat, mineral and beautifully textured citrus acidity. The finish has a mineral crushed rock note to boysenberry fruit with great freshness.

Coming out of a cool vintage, this gives all the good Sauvignon stuff in spades. It’s a front-end loaded aromatic powerhouse, full of passionfruit and pine-lime nasal excitement, and most likely a vintage-specific tarragon like herbal note. But there’s more to this wine than just the first-take, as the palate reverbs those exotic flavours with salivating acidity and pithy textural balance, filling out the finish, mouthwatering yet with satisfying, in a lingering afterglow. Filled with vinous pleasure.

Picked over a two-week span, harvested from individual rows. No SO2 added to bins and taken to the winery cool room within an hour of harvest. Pressed using only free-run juice, then extended lees contact in tank. Classic citrus and green apple flavours.
