This is terrific McLaren Vale shiraz from one of the region's top producers. It is always an honour to be able to secure high quality wine (with lofty price tags) under our Hidden Label range (where you typically pay half price). Dark, inky but youthful in appearance. Lifted aromas of blackberry, stewed plum, dried herbs, anise and sweet spice. Flavours of plum, mulberry, sweet oak and spice are all at play here. Powerful, sure, but there is an alluring plushness. The length is exceptional. This should provide joy for ten years.

"The nose shows rich aromatics of dark plum, black cherry and rose petal, dry spices and dark chocolate The palate is full bodied with generous mid palate breadth, the 2021 ... Shiraz shows rich fruits of blood plum, red and dark cherry and black olive. Dry sage and fine black pepper bring savoury elements, intermingled with dark chocolate. The opulent flavour profile is supported by full fleshed, encompassing tannins with fine grained texture, while succulent acidity maintains vibrancy throughout for a long and lingering finish."
