Profile

A slightly different expression of Shiraz, Angela is lifted with pure, ripe berry flavours at the forefront and subtle oak, allowing the fruit flavours to shine. Awash with ripe plum fruit, it is framed by savoury notes of cedar, earth and ground coffee. Powerful and concentrated, the flavours integrate seamlessly with the fine-grained tannins and bright acidity.

Wonderfully fruited and immensely appealing, the wine shows black/blueberry, floral, clove and toasted nut aromas, leading to a concentrated palate displaying excellent depth and richness, while remaining graceful and structured.

Archetypal regional shiraz, with far more detail, aplomb and freshness than in the past. American oak, clear. Maple, vanilla and mocha. And yet the fruit is transparent and vibrant, corralled and shaped, rather than subsumed by it. Violet, iodine, blue and boysenberry and a lovely trail of clove, white pepper and anise.
