Palate Profile
Sordo was founded in 1912 by Giuseppe Sordo, the present owner’s grandfather, and is now under the guidance of its third generation, Giorgio Sordo, with his daughter Paola by his side. Situated in the district of Castiglione Falleto and overlooking the slopes of La Morra, Sordo is unique in that it bottles 8 Barolo Cru wines, the only producer able to do this in the entire region.
The wine is red garnet colour with orangey nuances which become more accentuated as years go by; delicate, etheric, intense, full and lingering aromas; flavour warm, full, complex, dry and harmonious.

Medium deep ruby colour with a tawny/orange rim. The nose displays sweet red fruit, rosehip, plum, cherry, mild spices and praline. Good grip on the palate with ripe but young tannin flanked by sweet and spicy red fruit, rather silky texture with a coherent and long finish. Andreas Larsson - Tasted, July 2020
A very fine-tannined red with creamy, polished tannins that run the length of the wine. It’s medium-bodied with pretty length and finesse. Drink or hold.
